They look like they've been snapped off a candy cane, and they're a good deal kinder to your teeth. Green and Red Poles are short, soft candy sticks in festive stripes, some red and white and some green and white, with a gentle chew and a sweet fruit flavour. They're the sweet that makes a mix look like Christmas from across the room.
They're made by Kingsway to a soft candy recipe built on wheat flour, the same idea as a candy pencil or a cable, which is where the smooth, bendy chew comes from. The stripes run the full length of every pole, so they look just as good stood up in a jar as they do scattered through a mix.
Stand them up at a hot chocolate station, poke them into a gingerbread house, or mix them with Strawberry Pencils for a bag full of red. They sit well next to Christmas Trees and Snowflakes in a festive bowl.
