Where it comes from
Candy poles are a chewy rope made from a wheat flour dough, pushed out in long lengths and cut. The red and green version is the Christmas edition of a sweet sold in other colours all year.

Sugar, glucose syrup and wheat flour with water, corn starch, acid (citric acid), humectant (glycerol), vegetable oils (palm, coconut), beef gelatine, acidity regulator (E331), flavourings, emulsifier (E471), palm fat and colours (E129, E102, E133).
