Fruity Mentos have a texture nobody else has quite managed. A thin, crisp shell that cracks, then a chew that's firm at first and softens into something smooth and dense, with a bright fruit flavour that lasts the whole way. These are the fruit ones, loose, so you can scoop the colours you actually want.
The recipe is better than it needs to be. There are juices from raspberry, watermelon, strawberry, apple, orange, grapefruit and blueberry in the mix, and the colours come from anthocyanins, curcumin, beta carotene and beetroot. Nothing synthetic doing the colouring.
They go with Fruitella for a chew off, with Maoam Stripes for something firmer, or with Jelly Beans in a bag for a car journey. They also survive a handbag better than almost anything else.
Made without gelatine, so suitable for vegetarians.
