Ask anyone to name a fizzy sweet and this one comes up fast. Fizzy Bubblegum Bottles are the pink and blue two tone bottles with a dense chew and a sweet bubblegum flavour that tastes like the gum without the chewing for an hour afterwards. The fizzy coat is a light tingle, sweet and sharp at once.
They're from Kingsway, and the recipe is cleaner than you'd expect for something this bright: the pink and blue come from spirulina, apple and black carrot concentrates, and the fizz is bicarbonate of soda reacting with the acids in the coating. That's what makes it foam if you hold one on your tongue.
They're the middle size of the family. Jumbo Fizzy Bubblegum Bottles for a bigger hit, Bubblegum Pigs if pink is the point, or Fizzy Cola Bottles for the other half of the classic fizzy pairing.
