What it is
A soft bottle shaped gummy in pink and blue, coated in fizzy sour sugar, with a strong bubblegum flavour. All the flavour of gum with none of the leftover lump.
Taste

Where it comes from
Bubblegum flavour was created in 1928 by Walter Diemer, an accountant at the Fleer company in Philadelphia, who was experimenting with gum recipes and produced a batch that could be blown into bubbles. He coloured it pink because that was the only food colouring to hand. The flavour became so iconic that sweet makers began using it in things that were not gum at all, and the bubblegum bottle is one of the results.
What it's made of
Glucose syrup, sugar and gelatine set in a bottle mould in two colours, flavoured with the bubblegum blend, then coated in sugar with citric and malic acid.
