Nobody knows why fried egg sweets exist. Everybody knows they're brilliant. A soft, pillowy foam white with a gentle vanilla flavour, topped with a chewy little yolk that tastes of sweet fruit. Bite the yolk off first or eat it whole. There's no wrong way.
These are the Haribo ones, which matters. Plenty of people make foam eggs, but these are the ones with the proper soft, marshmallowy give and a yolk that actually chews. They've been a sweet shop staple for decades and they still outsell almost everything else we stock.
They belong in a retro mix with Milk Bottles and Fruit Salads, in a party bag, or on a sofa on a Friday night with a film. Kids love the shape. Adults love that they taste exactly like they did in the playground.
Contains pork gelatine, so not suitable for vegetarians. Contains sorbitol, so excessive consumption may have a laxative effect.
