Raspberry and pineapple is one of the great sweet shop pairings, and Fruit Salad Chews are that chew with the water taken out. Freeze dried, they puff up light and crisp, crack in half with a snap, and deliver the raspberry and pineapple flavour, made with apple and pineapple juice, in one quick hit.
Freeze drying works cold. The chews are frozen and then held under vacuum while the ice inside them turns to vapour and escapes, leaving air where the water was. The chew becomes a crunch, the weight drops and the flavour gets stronger, and nothing has been cooked along the way.
Pair with Aniseed Crunch Chews for the classic retro double, Cherry Crunch Sticks for more fruit, or Fruit Bombs for a bag of freeze dried chews.
