What it is
The raspberry and pineapple chew, freeze dried into a light, crisp bite that cracks in half.
Taste

Where it comes from
Fruit Salads were launched by Barratt in the 1920s and became one of the two great British penny chews. The loose version in pick and mix is the same flavour without the wrapper, which is what most shops sell today now that penny sweets are no longer a penny.
What it's made of
Glucose syrup, sugar and palm oil with apple and pineapple juice and beef gelatine, coloured with anthocyanins, then frozen and dried under vacuum.
