Ever bitten into a cloud? Apple Cloud Crunch is a soft sour apple foam sweet that has been freeze dried until it goes brittle and airy, so it cracks between your teeth and then vanishes. The sourness hits first, then a proper green apple flavour follows it in.
The trick is in the drying. The foam sweets are frozen solid and put under vacuum, and the ice inside turns straight to vapour without ever melting. What's left is the sweet's own skeleton, full of tiny holes, which is why it weighs next to nothing and why the apple tastes so concentrated.
Pair it with Nuclear Apple Crunch if you want the sour dialled up, Zesty Apple Crunchies for something fizzier, or Rainbow Fruit Puffs to calm things down.
Contains gelatine, so not suitable for vegetarians.
