There's sour, and then there's this. Extreme Sour Raspberry Crunch is a raspberry chew loaded with citric acid, freeze dried into a crisp, puffed bite that crunches, fizzes and keeps on fizzing well after it's gone. The raspberry is there, sweet and pink, once the tingling settles down.
Freeze drying doesn't add anything, it takes water away. The chews are frozen and held under vacuum until the ice inside sublimates to vapour, and with the water gone the acids and flavour are concentrated into something lighter and a lot less polite. Coloured with anthocyanins and curcumin.
Pair with Nuclear Cherry Crunch and Nuclear Apple Crunch for the sour hall of fame, or Lemon Sherbet Blasts for a gentler fizz alongside.
Made without gelatine, suitable for vegetarians.
