Crack the shell, find the gum. Bubblegum Balls are the size of a large marble, with a crisp sugar coating in red, yellow, green, orange and purple around a soft, sweet bubblegum centre. The first few chews are all sugar and that unmistakable bubblegum flavour, and then you settle into the long, slightly rubbery chew that's the whole point.
Kingsway make these, and they're the ones you'd have fed a coin into a machine for outside the newsagent. The gloss comes from a beeswax and shellac glaze, and the colours come from plant sources.
They belong in a party bag, in a bubble blowing contest, or in a bubblegum themed mix alongside Bubblegum Pigs and Anglo Bubbly.
