What it is
A mixed tub of extremely sour hard balls in cherry, blue raspberry, apple, lemon and watermelon. Sourness first, flavour a distant second.
Taste
Where it comes from
Toxic Waste built its brand on packaging as much as product, selling sweets in a plastic drum designed to look like industrial waste. The drum has become one of the most recognisable objects in children's confectionery, and the brand has been the subject of several product recalls over the years for reasons unconnected with the sourness.
What it's made of
Sugar and glucose syrup panned around a centre with citric and malic acid at very high concentration, in five colours, glazed with beeswax.
