Where it comes from
Halloween grew from a minor British event into the second largest confectionery season in the calendar over the 1990s and 2000s, and manufacturers responded with a whole set of seasonal moulds. Bones, skulls, fangs and pumpkins are the four that sell most.
What it's made of
Glucose syrup, sugar and beef gelatine deposited in two colours into a bone mould, flavoured with fruit, dried and glazed with carnauba wax.
