What it is
Soft chewy pieces in rainbow colours with a tangy fizzy coating that wakes the tongue up before the fruit flavour settles in. Sour enough to notice, soft enough to keep going.

Where it comes from
The fizzy coated chew is a British pick and mix staple, descended from the sherbet dipped sweets of the 1970s and 1980s. The rainbow version is a party bag sweet, made in short pieces so the colours do the work in the bowl.
What it's made of
Sugar, glucose syrup and wheat flour with water, citric and malic acid, glycerol, corn starch, palm fat, flavourings, beef gelatine and the colours E133, E102 and E129.
