What it is
Gummy teeth with red gums and white fangs, rolled in fizzy sour sugar. The sour version of the Halloween classic.
Taste

Where it comes from
Novelty teeth descend from the wax lips sold at American penny counters a century ago, made to be worn rather than eaten. The gummy version arrived once moulding could hold the detail, and adding a sour coating gave it a second life with older children.
What it's made of
A two colour gum deposit set with wheat and potato starches rather than gelatine, dried, then coated in sugar carrying malic, lactic and citric acid. The red comes from black carrot.
