Where it comes from
Caffeinated confectionery grew out of the energy drink boom of the 2000s, taking the same ingredients and putting them into gum, mints and gummies. They sit in a grey area between food and supplement, and several countries have restricted how much caffeine a sweet can contain.
What it's made of
Sugar, corn syrup, water and gelatine with dextrose, citric acid, pectin and lactic acid, moulded as bears and glazed with palm oil and carnauba wax. No caffeine.
