Where it comes from
Apple is one of the four standard pencil flavours, and the green colour signals sourness before the sweet is tasted. The format comes from southern Europe, where filled ropes have been a confectionery staple for decades.

Glucose fructose syrup, sugar and wheat flour with dextrose, palm oil, citric acid, sorbitol, apple juice concentrate, glazing agents of coconut oil, carnauba wax and beeswax, coloured with E102, E133 and E171.
