Stick one out and see who laughs. Fizzy Tongues are long, flat strips of chewy fruit sweet in red, orange and yellow, rolled in a sour fizzy sugar that gets to work before you've bitten down. The chew is soft and stretchy and the sourness is sharp but short, so you go straight back for another.
These are Kingsway's vegan fizzy tongues, coloured with paprika, curcumin and black carrot rather than anything artificial. The tang comes from lactic, malic and citric acids in the coating, three sours layered up, which is why they hit the sides of your mouth rather than the tip.
They're a party bag staple and a mainstay of any sour mix. Bag them with Fizzy Snakes and Fizzy Cola Bottles for a fizzy line up, or with Watermelon Slices if you want something sweet to calm things down between tongues.
