Jelly Filled Strawberries do their best work on the second bite. The first gets you through a soft, slightly firm strawberry shaped gummy. The second gets you into the runny strawberry jelly in the middle, which is where the flavour really lives. Sweet, a little sharp from the acids, and gone before you've finished thinking about it.
Damel make these, and like their Filled Bears the set is a mix of gelatine and pectin. The bright red and green come from a blend of colours, so they look like a cartoon strawberry rather than a real one.
They're a natural fit with Giant Strawberries and My Strawberries for an all strawberry bag, and they sit well with Filled Bears if you want everything in the bag to have a surprise inside.
