Gobstoppers

Nobody has ever finished one of our Gobstoppers in one sitting, and that is the whole point. A hard shell of colour on the outside, another colour under that, then another, each with its own fruity flavour, the sweet slowly shrinking over what feels like an afternoon. You suck, you check the colour, you carry on.

The layers are built up in a rolling pan over many hours, so every one shows a different pattern as you get through it, like the rings of a tree.

They are the long distance runners of a retro mix, sitting well with Strawberry Jawbreakers, the Blue Razz Jawbreaker and the Tropical Jawbreaker for a long drive. Not one for small children, and not one for your teeth.

Made without gelatine, but the colours include carmine (E120), so not suitable for vegetarians. Contains the colours E104 and E129, which may have an adverse effect on activity and attention in children.

Standard delivery is £3.99 and is free on orders over £50. It usually takes 2 to 3 working days from dispatch.

Express delivery is £5.99 for next working day delivery when you order before 2pm Monday to Friday. Orders placed after 2pm or at weekends are dispatched the next working day. The Highlands and islands can take a little longer.

Sealed sweets can be returned unopened within 14 days.
