Meerkats stand up, which makes them one of the few sweets that can pose for a photo. Fizzy Meerkats are chewy meerkat shapes in mixed colours, each with a tangy fizzy sugar coat and a sweet, mixed fruit chew. The fizz is a bright one that fades quickly, and the chew is soft with a little stretch.
These are Kingsway's vegan meerkats, set with wheat and potato starches instead of gelatine. The colours come from spirulina, safflower, grape, black carrot, paprika and curcumin, so the bag looks bright without a synthetic colour on the list.
They're a kids' favourite, and they pair with Meerkats for the plain version and Baby Meerkats for the small one. Add Sour Apples if the bag wants a sharper vegan sweet. Good for a party bag or a lunchbox surprise.
