Bubblegum UFOs

Take a flying saucer, swap the sherbet for bubblegum flavour, and you've got the sweet that splits opinion in the best way. Bubblegum UFOs have the same papery starch shell that goes soft and sticky the moment it touches your tongue, and inside is a sharp, fizzing sherbet with a big sweet bubblegum hit instead of the usual fruit.

The fizz comes from tartaric acid meeting bicarbonate of soda in your mouth, which is the same chemistry as a sherbet fountain, and the shells come in pale pink, blue and lilac thanks to beetroot red and a blue colour. They're light as anything, so 100g gets you a lot of saucers.

They belong next to classic Flying Saucers, obviously, and they're a good shout in a bubblegum mix with Anglo Bubbly and Bubblegum Balls.

Made without gelatine, so suitable for vegetarians.

Express delivery is £5.99 for next working day delivery when you order before 2pm Monday to Friday. Orders placed after 2pm or at weekends are dispatched the next working day. The Highlands and islands can take a little longer.

Sealed sweets can be returned unopened within 14 days.
