In Sweden, Saturday is sweet day, and a scoop of Banana Drage, the banana dragées, goes into most of the bags. Each one is a small oval of soft, squidgy banana foam sealed inside a thin, smooth chocolate flavour coating. The foam is light and gives straight away, and the banana is the sweet, foam banana kind.
They're made by Dals, one of the big names in Swedish pick n mix. The coating is made with cocoa powder rather than solid chocolate, so it's soft and slightly waxy and melts fast, which is what you want against a foam centre.
Use them as a gentle sweet in a loud Scandi bag. Put them next to Bubs Banana and Caramel and Swedish Chocolate Banana for a banana run, or with Foam Banana if you want the British version alongside for comparison.
Contains pork gelatine, so not suitable for vegetarians. Contains milk and soya.
