What it is
A large fizzy chip in bright colours with a heavy sour coating. Three or four fill a bag.
Taste
Where it comes from
Jumbo versions of established sweets became a British pick and mix tactic in the 2000s, when shops found that oversized sweets made a bag look more generous and photographed better. The chip was an obvious candidate because it was already a bestseller.
What it's made of
Glucose syrup, sugar and corn starch with malic and citric acid and an acidity regulator, extruded larger and coated in sour sugar.
