Where it comes from
Combining a sour coating with a fizzing centre is a modern British idea, built from two much older techniques, the Victorian sherbet centre and the 1990s sour coating. It is aimed squarely at children who want the strongest thing in the tub.
What it's made of
Glucose syrup, sugar and vegetable oils with citric acid and modified starch, coloured with E141, then frozen and dried under vacuum.
