What it is
A soft gummy heart in bright blue raspberry, sweet up front with a little tang behind it. Set with gelatine and pectin together, so it has a tender bite rather than a tough chew.
Taste
Where it comes from
Heart shaped gummies are a wedding and Valentine's standard in British pick and mix, usually in red. The blue version takes the blue raspberry flavour that came to Britain through slush drinks in the 1990s and puts it in the same mould.
What it's made of
Glucose syrup, sugar, water and gelatine with pectin, citric, malic and lactic acid, flavourings, acidity regulators and the colour E133.
