Where it comes from
Oversized novelty shapes became a British pick and mix tactic in the 2000s, when shops found that a few large sweets in a bag made it feel more generous. The lips are one of the most photographed sweets in the category, which matters more now than it used to.

Glucose syrup, sugar and corn starch with citric and malic acid, acidity regulator E331, coloured with titanium dioxide and allura red.
