What it is
A sugar coated ring gummy flavoured with green apple, sharper than the peach and with more of a sour kick from the coating. A sour section standard.
Taste

Where it comes from
Apple rings arrived with the same American wave of ring gummies as peach rings in the 1980s. Green apple became one of the defining flavours of the sour category because it reads as sour on sight, and because malic acid, the acid in real apples, works especially well in a sugar coating.
What it's made of
A chewy base of glucose syrup, sugar and starch, flavoured and coloured green, moulded as rings and tumbled in sugar mixed with citric and malic acid.
