Rosy Apples

Rosy Apples are the toffee apple without the toffee, the stick or the sticky chin. A glossy hard boiled sweet in red and green with sweet apple up front and a gentle tang at the back, the kind that ends up in the corner of your cheek for a quarter of an hour.

They are made by Stockley's, whose boiled sweets have been in sweet shop jars since the 1930s. The recipe is sugar, glucose, apple flavouring and a splash of acid, and the shine is all from the boil.

They belong in a fruity retro bag next to Pear Drops and West Indian Limes, and they sit happily with Aniseed Balls if you like a bit of contrast. A good one for the glovebox.

Made with vegan ingredients and no gelatine. Contains the colours E102 and E122, which may have an adverse effect on activity and attention in children.

Standard delivery is £3.99 and is free on orders over £50. It usually takes 2 to 3 working days from dispatch.

Express delivery is £5.99 for next working day delivery when you order before 2pm Monday to Friday. Orders placed after 2pm or at weekends are dispatched the next working day. The Highlands and islands can take a little longer.

Sealed sweets can be returned unopened within 14 days.
