Fruitella have a specific kind of chew. Not hard, not soft, a firm, juicy square that gives immediately and then keeps going, with a fruit flavour that's rounder and less sharp than most because there's actual juice in it. Orange, lemon and strawberry, in the same three colours as the roll.
The recipe uses fruit juices from concentrate and natural flavourings, and the colours come from carrot, black carrot and elderberry, which is why the strawberry is a deep red rather than a fluorescent one. They've been made in roughly the same way for the best part of a century.
They're the middle ground in a chew bag: put them with Maoam Bloxx for something firmer and Fruity Mentos for something crisper. Or add Fruitella Duo and keep it in the family.
Contains gelatine, so not suitable for vegetarians.
