What it is

Where it comes from
The unicorn became a commercial phenomenon in the mid 2010s, spreading from social media into food, drink and confectionery. Sweet makers were quick to mould it, and the unicorn now sits alongside far older shapes in British pick and mix as a permanent fixture rather than a fad.
What it's made of
Glucose syrup, sugar and gelatine deposited in pastel colours into a detailed mould, dried and glazed.
