They're a firm, dense fruit gum rolled in fine sugar, with a slightly tangy fruit flavour that comes out as the sugar melts off. The chew is long and slow.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eTaveners make them, set on maize and potato starch rather than gelatine, which is why they're a proper gum rather than a jelly. The colours are all plant based, anthocyanins, paprika, curcumin, safflower and spirulina, so nothing artificial in the reds, oranges or greens.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003ePut them with Wine Gums, Football Gums and Midget Gems for a traditional gum bag, or use them as the one firm sweet in a bag of soft ones.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eMade without gelatine, so suitable for vegetarians.
